Someone sent me a bear. What should I do?
This bear was sent to you from someone who believes you could use some love and support. Please keep your bear as long as you like, and when you're ready, pass him along to someone else who needs him, along with the letter you received so whoever receives him knows he is a traveling bear. Please keep us updated via our Contact page. Feel free to send stories, photos, or video about how your bear helped you or someone you know. Check the blog for stories about where your bear began his journey and what happens after you pass him along.
If you don't know anyone who needs the bear, or for any reason would rather not participate, please let us know. We will send you a postage-paid envelope to mail your bear back to us so he can go back out and do some good where he is needed.
I want you to send someone a bear. What should I do?
We think everyone who needs a hug should have one. If you know someone going through a tough time, please send us all the pertinent information via our Contact page. Once the bears are out of our hands, it is up to the people who receive them where they will go next. However, we plan to add new bears as often as we can afford to.
I'd like to help. Where can I send money and/or bears?
We are so happy to have the support of people who believe in what we're doing. If you'd like to contribute money or bears, please reach out via our Contact page. Bears must be new, please.
Is my contribution tax deductible?
Unfortunately, no. At this time, The Traveling Bear Society is not a designated nonprofit organization. We plan to incorporate this year and apply for 501(c)(3) status, as soon as we raise enough money to do so.
